It was a day of sunny skies and lots of smiles as a group of JE employees from our Dixie and 80CP offices came together to help convert an existing garden into our first JE Sustainable Garden and Outdoor Learning Space in Toronto. With some sweat and hard work, the team helped PACT Grow-to-Learn Schoolyard Gardening Program prep the space at Elmbank Junior Middle Academy, a high needs school in Rexdale. Tasks included assembling and filling planter boxes, laying out over one tonne of wood chips, tearing down of a shed, weeding and more. There's still more to do as fruit trees will be planted by students from each classroom over the next few weeks.

Special thanks to the following JE employees for all their hard work: Nancy Donnaperna, Alla Voinova, Sandy Aniceto, Kate Atkinson, Beverley Rebello, Omar Huda, Cinthia Gonzalez, Kenneth Chu, Jennifer Wilson, Randry Meireles, and Tyrus Reid!
