As a proud sponsor of the recent Energy Day Festival, the Just Energy Foundation was honored to present a financial award in support of the SeaPerch Challenge, an innovative underwater robotics competition that equips teachers and students with the resources they need to build an underwater Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV). Presented by Deb Merril and James Lewis, Co-CEOs at Just Energy (pictured back row), the award went to top-placing students for their achievements in robotics, engineering, science, and mathematics (STEM) while building an underwater ROV as part of a science and engineering technology curriculum.
The Just Energy Foundation proudly teamed up with Habitat for Humanity on October 21 and 22 in support of a local Build Day project in the community of Houston, TX. Through two half-day building sessions, 18 Just Energy staff members volunteered in the construction to help build a safe and suitable home for a local family-in-need. With our contribution to the organization, we can help ensure that some of our most vulnerable residents receive the assistance they need to secure a safe and nurturing environment. Supporting our communities is extremely important to us and our staff members also share our belief in leading change to help ensure our neighbors have a safe and healthy place to live.
