We were thrilled to support the Houston Food Bank through funding that provided over 36,000 meals for local residents in need. We take seriously our responsibility to the community and are proud to help support the Houston Food Bank deliver much needed services to those in need.

  We're pleased to support the Food Bank of the Southern Tier in New York. About 4.8 million seniors struggle with hunger in the US. The approximate cost for one senior mobile food pantry is $500. Our donation will help provide about five senior mobile food pantry distributions.

Arc of Westchester, the largest agency in Westchester County, NY serving children, teens and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including individuals on the autism spectrum, and their families. Arc of Westchester provides more than 2,000 individuals throughout the county with a broad range of innovative and effective programs and services designed to foster independence, productivity and participation in community life.

Just Energy was thrilled to be a part of the very successful and much-anticipated Energy Day 2014 in Houston, TX, Houston’s largest free family annual festival showcasing science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). We’re proud to help Energy Day lead the way in reinforcing the importance of STEM education and the development of new energy technology, and to award top performing students!


Just Energy is happy to support 
Homes with Hope in Houston, TX, a private, non-profit Child- Placing Agency for children in foster care. Their mission is to restore abandoned, abused or neglected children by placing them in a community of Christ-centered families, in relationship with the local church, who will care for these children through foster care and adoption.

  We're happy to support Big Brothers Big Sisters of NYC! Since 1904, their mission has been to give all children in New York City who face adversity an opportunity to experience a strong, enduring professionally supported one-to-one mentoring relationship with adults that will help change their lives for the better. They partner with families, volunteers, organizations, and the community to inspire positive change in all.


Thanks to our friends at Breakfast For Learning for letting us be a part of one of their many nutritional programs in our local community. We're honored to provide financial support to an organization that is making an incredible difference in the lives of Canadian children. Breakfast for Learning has been helping support and sustain school-based breakfast, lunch and snack programs for over 20 years. In the 2014/15 school year, they funded 2,174 breakfast, lunch and snack programs operating in 1,899 school/community sites, supporting 271,663 children and youth, providing more than 44 million nourishing meals and snacks.

  On behalf of The Just Energy Foundation, and Just Energy's VP of Marketing, Al Shulman, we're happy to support Big Brothers Big Sisters of Toronto! As Canada’s leading child and youth mentoring charity, Big Brothers Big Sisters facilitates life-changing relationships that inspire and empower children and youth to reach their potential, both as individuals and citizen. For over 100 years, the organization has been providing mentors to children and youth in need of additional positive adult support.  

We’re pleased to provide financial support to LAMP, a non-profit organization providing vital, hands-on multimedia learning services that help people in our New York City communities and beyond navigate and thrive in this loud-media environment.

Just Energy is thrilled to support The MLLES Alumnae Inc., a non-profit organization that provides programming, service projects and scholarships to young women of color in the Houston area. The largest of these programs is the Annual Mademoiselle Conference with workshops covering health, higher education, social and life skills.

The Just Energy Foundation is proud to support Gleaners Community Food Bank. For more than 37 years, Gleaners has been "feeding hungry people and nourishing our communities.” Last year, Gleaners distributed 41 million pounds of emergency food to more than 550 partner soup kitchens, shelters and pantries in Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, Livingston and Monroe counties. Of every dollar donated, Gleaners uses 94 cents for food and food programs. One dollar provides three meals for a hungry neighbor.

We’re happy to support the Brampton Women’s Shelter, or organization that provides shelter, support, counseling and advocacy to help abused women and their children break the cycle of violence. 
Just Energy is please to offer financial support to Utility Emergency Services Fund in Philadelphia, PA. UESF stabilizes housing for vulnerable families facing a housing crisis by addressing their immediate needs and removing the barriers to long-term stability.
Just Energy is happy to provide financial support to Volunteers of America in Upstate New York, and also honored to have had the pleasure of being accompanied by Andreas Rau, Executive Assistant to the Mayor of the City of Rochester and a JE customer. The organization is dedicated to helping those in need rebuild their lives and reach their full potential through hundreds of human service programs, including housing and healthcare. 

Just Energy is proud to support The Scott Mission in Toronto, Canada, a charitable organization that was established to respond to the everyday needs - such as food, clothing and lodging – to of the poor and homeless in our community.

  Just Energy is happy to support Cy-Hope in Houston, TX. Cy-Hope’s mission is to bring HOPE to at-risk children so they will grow up to be well educated and productive citizens, making a lasting and positive impact on the community of Cy-Fair.

On Wednesday, May 20th, Just Energy's co- CEO, James Lewis, and team participated in a volunteer school beautification project in support of Communities in Schools. The team visited Spring Woods Middle School in Houston, TX, and spent the day planting various garden trees and shrubs in the school's courtyard. The Just Energy Foundation proudly donated $2500 to Communities in Schools which was used to purchase plants, flowers and other garden supplies for Spring Woods Middle School. Thanks to everyone who participated in the event and donated their time to make a positive contribution in their community.

We’re excited to announce that our basketball Community Action Grant recipient has been selected! Our VP of Marketing, Al Shulman, joined MLSE Foundation representatives yesterday (May 26th) to present the winner, YouthLink in Toronto, with a grant of $50,000 on behalf of the Just Energy Foundation. A leader in promoting the mental health and well-being of low-income and marginalized youth in Toronto, YouthLink helps youth at risk through a range of free services to develop their strengths, build new skills and pursue their goals for a positive future. The funds will go towards the Scarborough Village Triple – Double program; a free, weekly, sport development program focused on increasing physical activity levels, improving academic success and building on existing academic support infrastructures. From September to May, Triple-Double program combines a five-on-five basketball house league with literacy and numeracy support for more than 100 youth annually in Scarborough Village. The program enforces a rule that each youth must attend weekly literacy and numeracy sessions in order to attend the basketball component.

Together with MLSE Foundation representatives, Deborah Merril,
Co-Chief Executive Officer, and Al Shulman, VP of Marketing, presented the winner, Malvern Family Resource Centre, with our Toronto FC Community Action Grant of $50,000 at BMO Field on Wednesday, May 24th, 2015. MFRC is a multi-service social service agency committed to strengthening families and individuals through inclusive and effective programs and services for residents in the Malvern and Rouge River riding located in North-east Scarborough. 
  The Just Energy Foundation is proud to team up with Habitat for Humanity in support of a local Build Day project. Just Energy staff members volunteered in the construction to help build a safe and suitable home for a local family-in-need in the community of Brampton, Ontario.

The Just Energy Foundation is proud to support Young Adult Leadership & Development (YALD), a non-profit organization 
that focuses on Youth Leadership Development for Junior H.S. through college age students. Located in NYC (Harlem), YALD provides youth with access to information, resources and opportunities, helping them set achievable goals and a positive mindset that will help structure their future.

  The Just Energy Foundation is happy to continue our support for The LAMP, a non-profit organization providing vital, hands-on multimedia education that helps people in the New York City communities and beyond navigate and thrive in this loud-media environment. 


As a proud sponsor of the recent Energy Day Festival, the Just Energy Foundation was honored to present a financial award in support of the SeaPerch Challenge, an innovative underwater robotics competition that equips teachers and students with the resources they need to build an underwater Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV). Presented by Deb Merril and James Lewis, Co-CEOs at Just Energy (pictured back row), the award went to top-placing students for their achievements in robotics, engineering, science, and mathematics (STEM) while building an underwater ROV as part of a science and engineering technology curriculum.

  We're proud to provide further support to The Mississauga Food Bank, a non-profit organization committed to helping the hungry by sourcing, managing and distributing food to a network of member agencies, including neighborhood food banks, before-school breakfast clubs, shelters and hot meal programs. The Just Energy Foundation proudly teamed up with Habitat for Humanity on October 21 and 22 in support of a local Build Day project in the community of Houston, TX. Through two half-day building sessions, 18 Just Energy staff members volunteered in the construction to help build a safe and suitable home for a local family-in-need. With our contribution to the organization, we can help ensure that some of our most vulnerable residents receive the assistance they need to secure a safe and nurturing environment. Supporting our communities is extremely important to us and our staff members also share our belief in leading change to help ensure our neighbors have a safe and healthy place to live. 

  On November 18, 2015,  20 Just Energy reps participated in the sweat inducing, adrenaline moving, fun-packed Fall Food Sort Challenge in support of The Daily Bread Food Bank. We're happy to announce that our two teams ranked third and fourth place out of seven crews. Collectively, all teams sorted three thousand pounds of food in just two hours! The food will be distributed across Toronto and served on the tables of families that rely on Daily Bread for support. On behalf of the Just Energy Foundation, we're happy be be a part of such a great cause! Thanks to everyone who participated in the event and who gave their time and effort to help those who need it most close to home.
